PILE DRIVABILITY ANALYSIS AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Home PILE DRIVABILITY ANALYSIS AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

From a drivability analysis, a driving criterion can be developed so that the driven piles can be installed without causing structural damages. Such objectives can be accomplished using GRLWEAP computer program which simulates the pile driving process from GRL Pile Dynamics in the US.

From a validated analysis with field recorded data, an acceptance criterion (Also called WEAP Inspector’s Chart) can be developed so that all piles driven within the same zone are validated for design capacity requirements. A bearing graph may be used for capacity predictions.
